A Salem City Income Tax Credit Ordinance measure was on the November 2, 2010 ballot in Columbiana County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 2,523 (64.79%)Approveda
  • NO 1,371 (35.21%)[1]

This measure sought to change the credit given on income tax returns.[2] An issue had arisen with this ballot measure, the new proposed changes to the tax credit could end up having the city pay some residents who pay taxes out of the city. City officials noted that it could not be removed from the ballot, but could be amended if approved.[3]
