San Carlos School District parcel tax, Measure A (May 2011)
The school district already had a parcel tax that was set to expire in June 2011.
The parcel tax for San Carlos schools was originally approved in 2003 and is $110.60 a year per parcel. With the approval of Measure A, that same level of taxation will continue for eight more years.
The original Measure D brings in about $1 million/year to the school district. This is approximately 5% of the school district's annual budget.
A 2/3rds supermajority vote was required for approval.
- These final election results are from the San Mateo County elections office as of May 10, 2011.
