San Francisco Boards and Commission Diversity, Proposition D (June 2008)
Proposition D amended the San Francisco Charter so that appointments to city and county boards and commissions include both men and women and reflect diversity regarding "ethnicity, race, sexual orientation and types of disabilities."
- These final, certified, election results are from the San Francisco elections office.
The question on the ballot:
|Proposition D: "Shall it be City policy that the membership of City boards and commissions reflect the interests and contributions of both men and women of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations and types of disabilities and that City officers and agencies support the nomination, appointment or confirmation of female, minority and disabled candidates to fill seats on those bodies?"|
