A San Juan Island Library District Levy Increase measure was on the August 16, 2011 ballot in the San Juan Island library district area of San Juan County.

This measure sought to increase the current library district property tax by a rate of $.39 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a continuing period of time in order to help pay for maintenance and operational costs of the library.[2]

The question on the ballot:

The Board of Trustees of the San Juan Island Library District adopted Resolution No. 6-2011 regarding the District’s regular property tax levy. This proposition would increase the District’s regular property tax levy for normal maintenance and operations to $0.39 per $1,000.00 of assessed value in 2012 and thereafter the levy amount would be subject to the limit factors set forth in Chapter 84.55 RCW.[3]
