There was a Santa Cruz Valley High School Budget Override on the March 9 ballot in Pinal County for voters in the Santa Cruz high school area.

This measure was approved

  • YES 294 (50.95%)Approveda
  • NO 283 (49.05%)[1]

This measure asked voters if they would allow the high school to increase their budget and be able to maintain their current maintenance and operation expenses. This would provide funds to keep the school competitive by providing salaries and benefits that attract teachers to the school and help maintain smaller class sizes. Property taxes in the area will increase, but not by a significant amount.[2]
