Scott A. Slater (b. May 28, 1975) is a Democratic member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, representing District 10. He was first elected to the chamber in a special election in November 2009. He currently serves as Deputy Majority Leader.

Biography

Slater earned his B.S. from Bryant University. His professional experience includes working as a budget analyst for the City of Providence.[1]

Slater won re-election in the 2012 election for Rhode Island House of Representatives District 10. Slater was unopposed in the September 11 Democratic primary and defeated James Entwistle (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[3][4][5]

Slater won re-election to the 10th District seat in 2010. He defeated Ana Quezada in the September 14 primary election and defeated Republican Brian Mayben in the general election on November 2, 2010.[6][7]
