- NO 34,516 (26.55%)
This levy was the third of its kind, aiming to further help the school district in their long term plans of opening up schools as well as renovate and upgrade schools in operation. This comes in response to the ending of the BTA II levy this year. Approximately $48 million of this new levy will go towards opening up schools that had been previously closed because of lack of funds. The school district is expecting more students so the need to reopen these schools is high. The schools were originally closed because they did not help their communities, so some residents question why they are being reopened if they were closed for such a reason in the first place. School board members are attempting to acquire demographic statistics in order to prove to the communities that these schools are needed.
