Two Shelby City Charter Amendment measures were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the city of Shelby which is in Richland County.

Both measures were approved

The first measure sought to amend the city charter so that there would be written procedures on how to break a tie vote in the city council.

  • NO 844 (28.29%)

The second measure sought to amend the city charter so that half year budgets would no longer be made, but rather temporary appropriations would be issues by December 31 of the preceding year and full year budgets approved by April 1.[1]
