Sherrie Hayashi is the current Utah Commissioner of Labor. She was first appointed to the position in 2006 by former Governor Jon Huntsman.[1]

Biography

Hayashi served as Executive director for the Multicultural Legal Center from March 1997 to 2003. From 1999 to June 2003 she was Associate General Counsel for the Utah Labor Commission. She then became Director of the Antidiscrimination & Labor Division at Utah Labor Commission, a role she remained in until June 2006 when she became Commissioner of Labor.[2]
