Sonya Leggett-Ryburn was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 9 of the Arkansas House of Representatives.


Leggett-Ryburn earned her B.S. in Communication Disorders from Harding University. Her professional experience includes working in banking, medical offices, public school systems and for Blue Cross, Blue Shield.[1]

The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 3, 2014. Incumbent Sheilla Lampkin was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Sonya Leggett-Ryburn was unopposed in the Republican primary. Lampkin defeated Leggett-Ryburn in the general election.[2][3]
