The 2014 South Carolina primary runoffs were held on June 25, 2014. The three runoffs were for the Republican nomination for Lieutenant Governor and both Republican and Democratic nominations for Superintendent of Education. In each runoff, the candidate who placed first in the primary went on to win the runoff. The eventual Republican nominee for South Carolina Lieutenant Governor, Henry McMaster, took the most votes of the night, with over 85,000.

Henry McMaster defeated Mike Campbell in the runoff. Campbell actually finished third in the primary but the second-place candidate, Pat McKinney, dropped out immediately after the primary. McMaster will face Democrat Bakari Sellers in November.

Tom Thompson won the Democratic nomination and Molly Mitchell Spearman won the Republican nomination. The two will face Independent Ed Murray in November.[1]
