The South Dakota Regulate Gold and Silver Mining Initiative, also known as Initiative 2, was on the November 3, 1992 ballot in South Dakota as an initiated state statute, where it was approved. The measure provided an acreage regulation and reclamation incentive for large-scale gold or silver surface mining operations.[1][2]
