Springfield City Jail Levy Measure (November 2012)
This measure authorized the Springfield City to levy a property tax with the rate of $1.28 per $1,000 of assessed valuation for five years in order to fund the operation of Springfield Jail and police services. This tax is a renewal of an expiring levy. The estimated revenue from this tax is $4,699,947 in 2013/14, $4,840,946 in 2014/15, $4,986,174 in 2015/16, $5,135,759 in 2016/17, $5,289,832 in 2017/18.
