The question on the ballot:

Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property, excepting homestead and qualified agricultural property in Springport Public School District, Jackson, Eaton, Ingham, and Calhoun Counties, Michigan, be increased by 1.9230 mills ($1.923 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) for a period of three (3) years, 2012 to 2014, inclusive, to provide funds for operating purposes, such increase being a renewal of 1.9230 mills which expired with the 2011 tax levy (the estimated amount of revenue that will be collected in calendar 2012 if said 1.9320 mills is authorized and levied is $70,681 all of which will be disbursed to Springport Public Schools)?[4]
