Two St John Town Street & Water Levy Implementation measures were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the town of St John which is in Whitman County.

Both measures were approved

The first measure sought to implement a levy set at a rate of $2.06 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a period of one year in order to fund water and sewer upgrades and capital improvement costs in the town.

The second measure sought to implement a levy set at a rate of $1.74 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a period of one year in order to fund street maintenance and improvement costs in the town.[1]

The question on the ballot:

Proposition 1: Shall a special tax levy of $65,000.00, an estimated $2.06 or less per one thousand dollars of assessed valuation, be collected in 2012, for water and sewer upgrade and capital improvements for the Town of St. John, be authorized and approved?

Proposition 2: Shall a special tax levy of $55,000.00, an estimated $1.74 or less per one thousand dollars of assessed valuation, be collected in 2012, for street improvements and maintenance for the town of St. John, be authorized and approved?[3]
