Stephen Frye was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 3rd Congressional District of Nevada. He was defeated by John Oceguera in the Democratic primary on June 12, 2012.

Biography

Frye was born and raised in Boston, where he graduated from the Boston Latin School and Boston University. He then earned his M.D. at the George Washington School of Medicine before he interned at the San Francisco General Hospital from 1968-1969. He then served in the U.S. Army Special Forces during the Vietnam war. He served as the Director for Mental Health for Sonoma County, California for four years before he founded a private practice, which he lead for 18 years. Before he retired, he taught at the University of Nevada School of Medicine for one year.[1]

Frye ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Nevada's 3rd District. He was defeated by John Oceguera in the Democratic primary on June 12, 2012.[2]
