Steve Colangelo was a 2014 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 9th Congressional District of California.[1]


Colangelo made a career as a radio broadcaster and on-air personality on KROY, KWOD 106 and KGNR News Radio 132. During this time he also served as an auxiliary police officer for the Sacramento Police Department. Colangelo then started his own business in the home and garden shows business. He and his wife currently operate American Event Rentals, which supplies weddings, graduation parties and other community and family events.[2]
