Steve Tanner was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 1A of the Idaho House of Representatives. He ran as a Republican candidate for District 1 of the Idaho State Senate in 2010.

The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 14, 2014. Laura Bry defeated Steve Tanner in the Democratic primary, while Heather Scott defeated Stephen T. Snedden in the Republican primary. Bry will face Scott in the general election.[1][2]
