This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $1.2 million in order to help pay for building remodeling and repairs as well as upgrading equipment and acquiring new buses for the district.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

Shall the Sullivan School District issue its general obligation bonds in the amount of $1,200,000 for the purposes of remodeling, improving, constructing, reconstructing, building additions to, furnishing and equipping new and existing school buildings and related facilities, and acquiring school buses, which may include but shall not be limited to the following projects: (1) at the primary school, repair or replace sidewalks and the playground surface; (2) at the elementary school, replacing the cafeteria floor and renovating the back playground area; (3) at the middle school, remodeling and updating the library and the restrooms; and (4) at the high school, extending the walkway from the high school to the theater and making improvements to classrooms, maintenance and grounds. Approval of this proposition is estimated to result in no tax increase over the existing debt service levy of $1.0955 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation of real and personal property.[3]
