The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 20, 2014. Wayne Stevens was unopposed in the Democratic convention. Incumbent Kevin Van Tassell defeated Susan Hacking Horrocks in the Republican convention. Van Tassell defeated Stevens in the general election.[1]
