Susana A. Mendoza was a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the 1st District from 2001 to February 2011. She was elected to become Chicago City Clerk, serving as the first female city clerk.[1]

Mendoza is an Outreach Director with the Chicago Department of Planning and Development.[2]

Mendoza won re-election to the 1st District Seat in 2010 with no opposition. She ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on February 2nd. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[3]
