A Sykesville Town Speed Camera Implementation measure was on the May 4, 2010 ballot in the town of Sykesville which is in Carroll County.

This measure sought to allow the implementation of red light cameras in school areas in the town of Sykesville. A petition drive was the way this issue appeared on the town ballot, 401 local signatures were collected. If it had been approved, three school zones would have had the red light cameras installed. The town attorney had yet to officially write up the ballot question when the issue was approved for the ballot..[2]
