The general election will be held on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. Tamara Y. Johnson defeated Benedict I. Truman II in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Francis R "Fran" Millar defeated Richard D. "Dick" Anderson in the Republican primary. Truman will face Millar in the general election.[2][3]
