A Tecumseh School District Income Tax Increase measure was on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the Tecumseh school district area which is in Clark County.

This measure was defeated

  • YES 2,694 (40.99%)
  • NO 3,878 (59.01%) Defeatedd[1]

This measure sought to increase the current income tax to 1.5 percent in order to help pay for benefits and pensions for the school district.[2] Previous levy measures had failed to garner enough support from residents, school officials were hoping this would have passed since it is the first time they were asking for a income tax and not a property tax increase. The school district has consistently made cuts to its budget and services and this would have helped restore some of those services. Reduction in state funds had also led to the drastic cuts in the district.[3]
