A Thomas Township Library Levy Renewal measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Thomas, which is in Saginaw County.

This measure sought to renew the current library levy which is set at a rate of $.40 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further ten years in order to continue to pay for library operational and maintenance costs in the township. It was approved.

The question on the ballot:

Shall the previously voted increase in the total tax limitation which may be imposed for all purposes upon property in the Township of Thomas, Saginaw County, Michigan, as provided for in Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution of 1963, as amended, be renewed and continued at 0.40 mills ($0.40 per $1,000) on taxable valuation of all property within the Township for a period of ten (10) years from 2012-2021 inclusive to provide funds for the operation and maintenance of the Thomas Township Library? The estimated revenue in the first calendar year the millage is levied is $197,953.[1][2]
