Tim Steele is a member of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly, representing District 3. He was initially elected to serve a partial term in a special election in 2013 after the District 3 seat was vacated by Harriet Drummond, who was elected to the Alaska House of Representatives in 2012. Steele was elected to a full term in 2014.[1][2]


Steele holds a B.S. in Business Administration Economics from Fresno State University and an M.S. in Environmental Management from the University of California, Riverside. His professional experience includes serving sixteen years in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Commissioned Officer Corps.

Steele previously served in the United States Army. He completed two tours of duty in the Vietnam War.[3]
