Timothy Butterworth (b. May 18, 1944) is a former former Democratic member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives. He represented the Cheshire 4 District from 2006-2010.

Butterworth's professional experience includes chair of Chesterfield Democratic Committee, member of New Hampshire Democratic Party, and Selectboard of Chesterfield; as well as self-employed in logging and publishing, and teaching.

Butterworth earned his B.A. and M.A. in English, and his MAT in English as a second language, School for International Training. He and his wife, Kay Kloppenburg, have three children; Brook, Ben, and Lateef.[1]

2008

On November 4, 2008, Butterworth ran for the Cheshire District 4 of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, winning the third of four seats with 3,319 votes, behind William Butynski (D) with 3,372 votes and Henry Parkhurst (D) with 3,352 votes, and ahead of Daniel Carr (D) with 2,854 votes, Edwin Smith (R) with 2,227 votes, Denis Murphy (R) with 1,615 votes, and 24 votes for others.[2]

Butterworth raised $2,050 for his campaign.[3]
