Coco ran in the 2012 election for Massachusetts State Senate District First Essex District. He was defeated by Kathleen A. O'Connor Ives in the Democratic primary on September 6. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]

Campaign themes

Coco favors local preference rules in the Commonwealth’s purchasing and bid laws, saying that money spent locally supports more jobs than state funds spent on national or out of state chains. He opposes corporate tax breaks, and believes that healthcare is a right.[3]
