A Toledo City Income Tax Reallocation measure was on the May 4, 2010 ballot in the city of Toledo which is in Lucas County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 17,561 (55.39%)Approveda
  • NO 14,141 (44.61%)[1]

This measure sought to reallocate 3/4 of a percent of the income taxes received by the city's capital improvement fund to be used instead for the general fund of the city.[2] The Mayor was trying to garner support for the measure which he felt would help the city cope with budget shortfalls.[3] Also noted that it would cut costs to trash collection fees and help the city better use the money that it collects. The mayor also stated that other capital projects would not be hurt with this measure, only money not allocated for projects could be used. Also, residents who live in the city but work outside of it will see an income tax credit since this measure passed.[4]
