U.S. Senate race in Connecticut heats up
By Justin Haas
WASHINGTON D.C. The national Democratic Party arrived to help Representative Chris Murphy in his campaign for Connecticut's U.S. Senate seat. The race has recently been slipping out of Democratic hands, and the Cook Political Report has moved the race from "Likely Democratic" to "toss-up."
The attacks on Murphy include the following: being a part of a Congress that has a 12% approval rating, calling Murphy a lawmaker who neglects his duties by missing committee hearings, and charges claiming that Murphy has failed to make several mortgage payments.
Murphy now looks for a way to get back on the offensive in the race.
