Currently, election results must be delivered to the City Council at a Council meeting the day following the election and the City Council must canvass and declare the results of the returns at such meeting. The proposed amendment to Article VI, Section 7 requires the election results be delivered to the City Council at its next regular meeting and the City Council declare the results then.

Shall the above-described amendment be adopted?
