The vacancy warning level is a tool used by Judgepedia to visually indicate the percentage of vacant seats on any given United States district court, United States Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States. The vacancy warning level is represented by five colors: green, blue, yellow, orange and red. For an in-depth look at federal vacancies see the Federal Vacancy Warning System.

There are 13 United States Court of Appeals and 91 United States District Courts. Since the three United States territorial courts are not Article III judges so they are not included in the vacancy count.
