A Van Buren Township Current Levy Renewal measure was on the March 6, 2012 ballot in the township of Van Buren which is in Hancock County.

This measure sought to renew the current expenses levy which was set at a rate of $.20 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for current expenses in the township.[2]

The question on the ballot:

An additional tax for the benefit of Van Buren Township, Hancock County, Ohio, for the purpose of CURRENT EXPENSES, at a rate not exceeding 2 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to twenty cents ($0.20) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3]
