DUXBURY, Vermont: Jason Gibbs, the former Commissioner of Forests, Parks, and Recreation and the Republican nominee for Secretary of State, has received a ticket from local police following a minor car accident that occurred at 12 am on Friday, September 17, 2010 off Vermont 100, near his Duxbury home. Gibbs, who was returning home from a lengthy day of campaigning, stated that he had dozed off at the wheel and slid off the road. He reported the incident to authorities six hours later after assessing that only damage that had occurred was to his own car.[1] Gibbs has been cited for failure to stay in his own lane.
