Washington Employer-Employee Relations, Initiative 198 (1956)
The Washington Employer-Employee Relations Initiative, also known as Initiative 198, was on the November 6, 1956 ballot in Washington as an Initiative to the People, where it was defeated. The measure would have banned and criminalized union membership or non-membership requirements for employment.

An act defining the terms "employer" and "labor organization" and declaring unlawful certain agreements and practices relating to membership in such an organization, payments to such an organization as a condition of employment, discrimination and coercion in connection with employment, and providing civil actions and criminal penalties for violations.
