The Washington Investment of State Funds Amendment, also known as Senate Joint Resolution 8208, was on the November 2, 1999 ballot in Washington as an Initiative to the People, where it was defeated. The measure would have removed the investment limitation on the state's emergency reserve fund and allowed the legislature to determine the fund's investment. The measure would have amended Section 1 of Article XXIX of the Washington Constitution.
