The Washington Six Year Tax Levies for School Districts Amendment, also known as House Joint Resolution 55, was on the November 4, 1986 ballot in Washington as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure permitted voters to authorize tax levies to finance school construction not exceeding six years. The measure amended Section 2 of Article VII of the Washington Constitution.
