A Weare Township Road Levy Renewal measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Weare, which is in Oceana County.

This measure sought to renew the current road levy which is set at a rate of $2 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further four years in order to continue to pay for road improvement costs in the township. It was approved.

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

Shall the current 2 mill ($2.00 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) increase in the 15 mill limitation on general ad valorem taxes within Weare Township (imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution) be renewed for the period of 2012 through 2015, inclusive, for the purpose of improving public roads within the Township; and, shall the Township levy such renewal for such purpose during such period, which renewal will raise in the first year of such levy an estimated $70,000.00?[1][2]
