Wellington Village Charter Amendments, 4 (November 2010)

Four Wellington Village Charter Amendment questions were on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the village of Wellington which is in Palm Beach County.

All four measures were approved

The first measure sought to make it so that the Mayor would serve a four year term.[1]

The second measure sought to make it so that partial terms served to fill a vacancy do not count towards the overall term limit of a person in office.[2]

The third measure sought to eliminate runoff elections if a candidate has more than 35 percent of approval.[3]

  • YES 9,508 (63.78%)Approveda
  • NO 5,400 (36.22%)

The fourth measure sought to allow the Vice Mayor to take the place of the mayor if the position was vacated, but after 180 an election must be held.[4]
