The West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District serves students in Plainsboro and West Windsor in Mercer County, New Jersey. The population of Mercer County was 366,513 according to the 2010 U.S. Census.[2]

Mercer County outperformed state averages for higher education achievement and median income while lagging behind the state poverty rate in 2010. Superintendent

The current superintendent of West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District is David Aderhold, who was appointed to the position in April 2013. Before his appointment, he had been serving as the district's deputy superintendent. He has a variety of experience in the education field as a teacher, assistant principal, high school principal and assistant superintendent.[5]
