Westmoreland County Citizens Association
The Westmoreland County Citizens Association is a citizens group formed to monitor and advise governmental boards and committees in Westmoreland County, Virginia. The group is formed of a diverse group of people from all over Westmoreland County. The Association meets on the forth Monday of every month at the fire house in Montross.
To keep people informed and to demonstrate "a constructive interest in the decisions being made by our locally elected and paid government officials."
The Westmoreland County Citizens Association has raised questions concerning the use of county vehicles supplied for use to government employees. The Association was seeking precise records of who drives these vehicles, where they are driven, and how many miles are accrued. The county had not been able to satisfactorily answer these questions as of 2008.
