Campaign themes

Leader's campaign website listed the following issues:[3]

  • Education: "Good schools, good teachers and programs which prepare students of all ages are good investments. From those beginning the educational process to those learning new skills, education is a vital component to a thriving and successful society."
  • Health Care: "Health Care In the words of a Congresswoman from California, “We have to pass the Bill in order to find out what is in it.” As those already in elected office square off in their attempts to defend or defeat the Affordable Care Act, thousands of individuals are suffering the unintended consequences of the Bill and its implementation. As the Congressman for the 29th District it will be my job to establish a way for those in my district to resolve and correct the burdens caused by the Affordable Care Act."
  • Immigration Reform: "As an immigrant from Ireland, and as my wife is an immigrant from China, who both have families still living in both countries, Immigration Reform is not only vital, it is personal to us. We have experienced firsthand the challenges and obstacles facing those who immigrate to the United States. Reform must include the streamlining and localizing of the process."
