Located in the Midwestern United States, the state of Wisconsin is bordered by Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Lake Michigan and Lake Superior. Nicknamed both “the Badger State” and “America’s Dairyland,” Wisconsin became the 30th state when it was admitted to the Union in 1848. While Madison is the state’s capital, Milwaukee is the state’s largest city.
