In the Wyoming Secretary of State election of 2010, held on November 2, 2010, Republican incumbent Max Maxfield defeated two challengers: Democrat Andrew Simons and Libertarian Candice De Laat. Maxfield won a commanding 76.13% of the vote, with Simons and De Laat capturing 19.49% and 4.37% of the vote, respectively.

In the primary election on August 17, both Maxfield and Simons ran unopposed.

Incumbent Maxfield first won election as the state's secretary of state in 2006. He was challenged in the state's Republican primary by Mary Ann Collins and defeated her 53.8 percent to 46.2 percent. In the general election contest, Maxfield faced Libertarian challenger Dennis Brossman, winning by 148,210 (81.7%) votes to 32,551 (18.0%) votes.[1]
