What was at stake?

Five seats were at stake in the November election. Stroman was the only incumbent seeking re-election. The new school board will need to address a number of challenges within the district, including budget gaps, layoffs and program cuts, attacks by the state auditor general, poor test scores and graduation rates and the possibility of state intervention in the district.[3]
