Mark Neuman is a Republican member of the Alaska House of Representatives, representing the 15th District since 2005.

Newman worked as Owner/Operator of Heirloom Wood Crafters from 1995-2006, oiler-mechanic with Fishers Fuel from 1983-1988, and a maintenance superintendent with Settlers Bay Development.

He is a leader with the 4-H Eagles, and is a member of the Alaska Outdoor Council, Big Lake Chamber of Commerce, Big Lake Lions Club, Matanuska Valley Sportsman Association, National Rifle Association, Wasilla Chamber of Commerce, and the Willow Chamber of Commerce. [1]

Neuman is running for re-election to the 15th District Seat in 2010. He faces Stephen Jacobson in the August 24 primary. The winner will run unopposed in the general election. The general election takes place on November 2, 2010.

2008

In 2008 Neuman was re-elected to the Alaska House of Representatives District 15. Neuman (R) finished with 7,645 votes while his opponent Lew Dischner (D) finished with 2,316 votes.[2] Neuman raised $30,524 for his campaign fund.[3]

Issue positions

Neuman did not provide answers to the 2008 Political Courage Test. The test provides voters with how a candidate would vote on the issues if elected. His answers to the Alaska State Legislative Election 2006 National Political Awareness Test are provided, but he did not reply when asked his legislative priorities.[5]
