John Cosgrove is a Republican member of the Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 78 since 2002.

He won re-election unopposed in the 2009 general election.[1]

Since 1987 Cosgrove has worked as an Aerospace Engineering Officer with United States Navy Reserves. He served on the Chesapeake City Council from 1998-2000, and as Vice-Mayor from 2000-2001.[2]

Cosgrove's official website states that he "has focused his efforts on improving public safety, education, transportation and protecting the Chesapeake Bay, as well as our family values."[3]
