Born August 22, 1966 in Omaha, Nebraska, Cornett is a former police officer from Bellevue, Nebraska. She is a Graduate of Nebraska Law Enforcement Academy, 1993 and Bellevue University (B.S. in criminal justice), 2003.[1] Cornett is also a certified handgun instructor.[2]
Cornett worked as a police officer for the Omaha Police Department from 1992 to 2002.
Cornett has a history of involvement with a number of organizations, including the Bellevue Kiwanis Club, Nebraska Association of Women Police, Altrusa International of Bellevue, Bellevue Chamber of Commerce, Optimist International of Bellevue, National Association of Women Police, and the Fraternal Order of Police.
