An Ada Village Income Tax Increase measure was on the May 3, 2011 ballot in the village of Ada, which is in Hardin County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 171 (52.45%)Approveda
  • NO 155 (47.45%)[1]

This measure sought to increase the current income tax rate by .5 percent with the additional money going towards police services, salaries and other uses for law enforcement in the village. The village is unable to fund the police services currently offered without the additional money, so village officials were hopeful residents would understand that need. Since this was approved, it will go into effect starting June 1, 2011.[2]
