Biography
Steele is a Certified Public Accountant and publisher of the Northern Herald. He is also a frequent political candidate. Steele describes himself as an accountant who is a fiscal conservative and a strong supporter of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. [1]

Steele ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Minnesota's 7th District. Steele ran as the candidate for the Independence Party of America. He was defeated by Democratic incumbent Collin Peterson and Republican challenger Lee Byberg in the November general election.[2]
